Method
Heat the butter in a deep pan. Add the chopped garlic and sauté for a minute until it turns fragrant but not brown.
Add the broccoli florets and blanched almonds to the pan. Sauté gently in the butter for 2-3 minutes.

Pour in a portion of the water, cover the pan, and let the broccoli cook for 7-8 minutes until tender but still vibrant green.

Let the mixture cool slightly. Blend it in a mixer until you get a smooth, creamy puree.
Transfer the puree back to the pan. Add the milk and the remaining water to reach your desired consistency.
Season with the salt and black pepper powder. Simmer on low heat for 3-4 minutes. Do not let it come to a rolling boil after adding milk.

Turn off the heat and serve immediately.

Tip
Do not overcook the broccoli initially, or the soup will lose its beautiful bright green color and turn muddy.
What to serve it with
Top with some roasted almond slivers or a swirl of fresh cream. Serve alongside toasted garlic bread.
