Ingredients

Quantities are for 2 servings.

Allow 30 minutes to chill the glasses and milk so the mango mastani stays thick after blending.

Method

  1. In a blender, add the chilled full fat milk, mango puree, sugar, and half of the mango ice cream. Blend until smooth, thick, and frothy.

  2. Take the chilled serving glasses. Pour the thick mango milkshake, filling them up to 3/4th of their capacity.

  3. Carefully place a generous scoop of the remaining mango ice cream on top of the milkshake in each glass.

  4. Garnish with chopped mixed nuts, tutti frutti and a cherry on top.

  5. Serve immediately with a long spoon and a wide straw.

How to tell it's done

The drink should be thick and frothy, with a cold ice-cream cap and crunchy nuts on top.

Getting it right

Tip

Use thick mango puree and very cold milk. Thin puree or warm milk makes mastani taste like a regular shake.

What to serve it with

Serve immediately in tall glasses with mango ice cream, chopped nuts, tutti frutti and a cherry.

Common mistakes

The mastani turns thin and melted.
Chill the glasses, milk and puree before blending, and add the ice cream only at the end.

Storing and reheating

Mango mastani is best served immediately. Refrigerate the blended shake without toppings for up to 1 day, then stir before serving.
